Centerpoint Athletic Booster Club

We are excited about the future of our Centerpoint Lady Knights and Knights Soccer program!

Coach Jesus Vazquez is officially joining our staff after serving as an intern last year and helping guide the Lady Knights to a Conference Championship and State Quarterfinal appearance. We are thrilled to have him stepping into the role of Head Coach for our Knights Soccer Team. A former standout player at Gurdon and a recent graduate of Henderson State University, Coach Vazquez brings a high level of energy, passion, and soccer knowledge that will help continue moving our guys' program forward. His enthusiasm for the game and commitment to developing student-athletes make him a tremendous addition to our coaching staff. Coach Vazquez will also teach in our High School ALE program.

Coach Ward Menzies will continue serving as the Head Coach of our Lady Knights Soccer Team, and we are excited to add Ben Kelley as Assistant Coach. Coach Kelley, a Ouachita Baptist University graduate, played high school soccer for the Little Rock Christian Warriors and has quickly become a valued member of the CHS family as a mathematics teacher. He brings a wealth of soccer knowledge, contagious enthusiasm, and a heart for mentoring students. We are confident that his leadership and passion for the game will have a tremendous impact on our Lady Knights program for years to come.

The future is bright for Lady Knights and Knights Soccer, and we can’t wait to see what lies ahead! ⚽️💜💛

El entrenador Jesús Vázquez se une oficialmente a nuestro personal después de haber servido como practicante el año pasado y de ayudar a guiar a las Lady Knights a un Campeonato de Conferencia y una aparición en los Cuartos de Final Estatales. Estamos muy contentos de que asuma el puesto de Entrenador Principal de nuestro equipo de soccer masculino, los Knights. Ex Jugador destacado de Gurdon y recién graduado de Henderson State University, el entrenador Vázquez aporta un alto nivel de energía, pasión y conocimiento del fútbol que ayudará a seguir impulsando nuestro programa varonil. Su entusiasmo por el deporte y su compromiso con el desarrollo de nuestros estudiantes-atletas lo convierten en una valiosa incorporación a nuestro cuerpo técnico. Además, el entrenador Vázquez también enseñará en nuestro programa ALE de la escuela secundaria.

El entrenador Ward Menzies continuará como Entrenador Principal de nuestro equipo femenil, las Lady Knights, y nos entusiasma incorporar a Ben Kelley como Entrenador Asistente. El entrenador Kelley, graduado de Ouachita Baptist University, jugó fútbol soccer en la preparatoria con los Little Rock Christian Warriors y rápidamente se ha convertido en un miembro muy apreciado de la familia CHS como maestro de matemáticas. Aporta una gran experiencia en el fútbol, un entusiasmo contagioso y una verdadera vocación para orientar y apoyar a los estudiantes. 2026 FOOTBALL!!

‼️Centerpoint Youth Basketball Camp‼️

Coach Buffalo and Coach Robertson will be putting on this camp June 16th-17th from 9:00-11:30 AM in the Centerpoint High School Gym. Depending on the number of campers, there may be two sessions. It will be available to upcoming 2nd-7th graders of all schools. Cost is $50 per player and will include a t-shirt. Please sign up by June 9th to guarantee you get a t-shirt. Cash or check only.

Team Camp info for June 9th and 10th. Jr High will practice June 2nd and June 4th at 9:00 am and June 8th at 4:00 pm. Sr Boys will practice June 8th at 6pm.
