💵 FINLIT IN ACTION! 💵

Our Financial Literacy (FinLit) classes got a sneak peek of what to expect this year!

“Getting paid under the table” may sound good… until you’re not paid correctly or you don’t know how to accurately count the money you received for the work you completed. 💰🪙

During this activity, students were introduced to Johnny Kemp’s classic “Just Got Paid” 🤣🎶 while learning real-world financial concepts, including:

💵 “Getting paid under the table”
📊 Gross pay vs. net pay
🏠 Household income
📝 W-4 and W-2 forms
💸 Taxes deducted from “over-the-table” work
🪙 Correctly counting dollars and coins received as payment

Financial literacy is about more than numbers—it’s about preparing students to understand their money, their paycheck, and their responsibilities in the real world.

We are thrilled to announce that Amite High Magnet School has been recognized as a 2025–2026 National Beta School of Merit! 🎉

This prestigious honor recognizes schools that demonstrate an unwavering commitment to academic excellence by offering National Beta to all eligible grade levels. Out of thousands of Beta clubs across the nation, Amite High has earned this distinguished recognition through the hard work, dedication, and leadership of our students, sponsors, and school community.

Attention Amite High Magnet School families! It’s time to get ready for an exciting start to the 2026–2027 school year!

Please make plans to attend orientation during your assigned time based on your student’s last name. Students will receive important information to help them start the year strong!

🟣 11th & 12th Grade Orientation
🗓️ Wednesday, August 5
⏰ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

🟡 9th & 10th Grade Academy Orientation

A proud graduate of Amite High School, Aariya has distinguished herself not only through academic excellence but also through outstanding leadership and character. Through her service in numerous student organizations and honor clubs, along with her commitment to volunteerism, she has consistently demonstrated integrity, dedication, and a heart for serving others.

Aariya's confidence, positive attitude, and determination to succeed will undoubtedly propel her toward a bright future.
