Don’t miss the chance to share your culture, traditions, food, music, or stories with the Amherst community. So far, we already have students representing: Georgia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Mongolia, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Mexico, Pakistan, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uzbekistan, and Zimbabwe.

Join the conversation about what our language usage reveals about ourselves, how they might be unknowingly similar to other languages, and how you can incorporate your unique linguistic abilities and backgrounds in your academic writing! Since 1976, Amherst has been home to brilliant women who continue to shape every field with leadership, creativity, and courage. This year, CISE and WGC invite you to join us for our International Women’s Day celebration on Monday, March 9 at 6 PM at the Powerhouse.
We warmly invite you not only to attend, but also to share your voice. This is a low-stakes, welcoming space to celebrate together. Performances may include poetry, dance, singing, storytelling, art displays, or any meaningful expression you would like to bring.
