I created this group "To Learn Russian" as I love this language, it's my 1st language and I would love to teach people to speak, to write, to understand it. Here in USA I realized how interesting to know new culture, to understand new society, to learn the language, to make new friends. They are all different here and of corse quite different from people of my country. I know that in your own soci
ety you have some public opinion which connect people and make them think the same way and when you come to the new country, to new society, new customs, new way people think.
1. My 1st purpose is exchange of experience that I have, that will help me better to understand my New Hometown and of corse they will understand my culture too.
2. News from TV doesn't represent all the realities only limited information is coming through. I want to present another side of the story. The whole picture,which you can get only when you will have a chance to learn the language, to make friends and visit one of the 16 countries where people speak fluently this language. Here in USA in every city you can meet many Russian speaking people. There are some benefits I want you to know which you can get when you learn Russian language:
1. Improve your memory, improving attention.
3. The mind becomes keener. Has a positive effect on intellectual growth.
4. Polyglots are seen to display improved decision-making ability.
5. It makes a person more flexible and open to other cultures.
6. It builds self-confidence. It aids in self-discovery and self-actualization. Medical studies has shown the positive effects learning a second language has on the brain. (Studies showed that learning a second language significantly delayed the onset of many brain related diseases such as Alzheimer and dementia, compared to those who can only speak their native tongue.)

As we go about our everyday lives, we rarely give a second thought to our own grammatical structure and vocabulary. However, when learning a new language, many people find they have a greater understanding of their first language.
8. Better job prospects
In today's business dominated society, being bilingual can only be an advantage and gives you a competitive edge when searching for jobs, or maintaining your current employment. Companies who plan to expand into overseas market are constantly looking for bilingual staff, who of which are well-paid and receive excellent benefits, as they will ultimately give the company a huge competitive advantage.

Learning a new language gives you a greater global understanding of the world we live in. Even by learning a few phrases, never mind a whole language, you will access many fascinating cultures around the world and understand the differences between the two countries. You will have access to a whole new array of film, music and literature, and a greater understanding of the history and culture of the nation and ultimately a better understanding of the way the world works, including politics and security.

The world is a cauldron of rich and interesting cultures. Learning a new language allows you to access many different cultures across the world. You will have the chance to see fascinating new things from a new perspective, which not many people can, and connect with the new people all over the world. As example of my own husband and new son I can see that to teach Russian is not much difficult. I see how quick they accepted and learned Russian. During half of year my husband and my son started speak and understand everything I say. These factors improved their life with a new cultural experiences and we understand each other better then before. I asked my husband to watch one of the Russian Movie with me, after watching he was impressed and shocked with story... Even it was something that he experienced in his childhood in Bulgaria. It was a movie about all what he forgot, about reality of another World and difficulties in the life that people of Soviet Union had to live with.He has never watched. anything like this here. So many true real moments touching the deepness of your Heart. Next few days he didn't sleep, he was checking other Russian movies non-stoping: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th...
