We are excited to continue to be a part of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days! Stop by are booth in the Progress Pavilion at the 2026 Show July 14-16 in Stratford, WI. We are in booth PP54! See you there!

It has been a great week for Amherst FFA. 9 members traveled to Madison to take part in the WI FFA State Convention. We participated in the WI FFA Day of Service packaging make for the Meals From The Heartland project, Deqlund carried the Amherst flag in opening ceremonies, Faith competed in the state LDE Discussion Meet and Extemporaneous Speaking contests. Faith also walked across the stage to receive her WI State FFA Degree. Kendall and Carlee were voting delegates for the chapter. Carlee also submitted the chapter scrapbook and received a blue ribbon!

We got to hear from Governor Tony Evers, DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski, and Dr. Temple Grandin. We also went to a concert by up and coming country star Hailey James.

The highlight for the chapter this year was having Faith Sopa run as a State Officer candidate! She participated in interviews, prepared and gave a Stand and Deliver speech, prepared a resume, interacted with delegates and more. It has been almost 20 years since Amherst has had a state officer candidate! The vote didn't end as we all hoped however we couldn't be more proud of Faith for running this year!

Just a reminder entries for the Amherst Fair must be submitted online by midnight on next Monday, June 1st.

The Amherst Fair will again be using the FairEntry software. The fair is now set up and is available for families to add entries at https://amherst.fairentry.com/Fair/SignIn/23772

Again this year: Animal exhibitors who will be showing market beef, market sheep, market swine, and market turkeys will need to enter their animal information into FairEntry before submitting their entry.

We are SOLD OUT! Thanks to all the community support, we had an absolutely wonderful year in the greenhouse! The tables were overflowing 2 weeks ago and are now all but empty. Thank you for the wonderful season!

Everything that is left in the Greenhouse is 50% off until it is gone!
4 packs are now $2.00: Dianthus, Begonias, Pansies, Impatiens & Verbena
4" pots are now $2.00: Geraniums, Angelonias, Spike Grass, Fountain Grass, Bacopas, Petunias, Sweet Potato Vines & there are a few Osteospermum & Coleus left.
Others are $1.00: Caibrachoa, African Marigolds, Zinnias, all vegetables (mostly tomatoes and peppers)
Hanging Baskets are $10.00: Purslane & Calibrachoa
We will be open Saturday 8:00-11:00. During the week 8:00-4:00.

The FFA Greenhouse opens again Saturday morning at 8:00 and Sunday at 9:00. There are a lot of flowers to choose from. The hanging baskets and geraniums are looking great. 2 for 1 calibrachoas. Plenty of 4 packs left. Stop in and buy Mom some flowers for Mothers Day!

Our annual Amherst FFA plant sale is opening Saturday May 2nd 8:00 a.m. Flowers, hanging baskets, 4 packs, single pots, tomatoes, peppers and a few other vegetables. Enter at the front of the school by the greenhouse. Come check it out!
