March begins at Student Union and Proceeds to New Africa House at 6:30PM

Take Back the Night is a rally and march to end sexual violence.

The event will begin on the steps of the Student Union, where survivors and community members are invited to share their stories and speak out about the realities of sexual violence in a safe environment.

In addition to the speak-out, we will be featuring a performance by The Raging Grannies & refreshments from the Freedom Cafe.

Following the rally, there will be an organized march through campus, featuring a silent procession through the library. Along the route, there will be timed markers where participants will pause to watch performances from various activists, including UMass' own theater troupe, Phallacies. The march will conclude at the New Africa House where there will be a reception for all attendees including an opportunity for participants to debrief and discuss their reactions to the event.
