Each week, members of our staff nominate students who go above and beyond to carry out our CARE behavior expectations (Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Effort). These students help to make our school a better place to learn.
This week, we are celebrating the following students as our Best of the Nest award winners for their outstanding efforts in our school community:
This week we're celebrating TWO students who have the Courage to Care:
Wagner B. (Grade 7)
Wagner has been actively helping at the end of recess by picking up litter, moving items to the lost and found, and helping our lunch/recess monitors as needed before heading back to class. Both adults and classmates in our school community notice and appreciate his effort to go out of his way to make someone else's day a bit easier.
Porter S. (Grade 5)
Porter saw a peer who was being supported by the school counselor and was having a tough day. When the student returned to class after time out of the room, Porter took the initiative to collect the current classwork and bring copies to the student's desk, helping them feel welcomed and connected to the class, even on a tough day.
