The Boltwood Project

Good morning Boltwood!
Come to the campus center between 10-4 today to help spread the word for inclusion! Today is Spread the Word: Inclusion Day, a time where we pledge to making ourselves more inclusive and help others to understand the importance! We are all a community so let’s work today to continue increasing positivity and decrease negativity, ableism, and exclusion!

Spring 2020 is a great time to join a service learning organization devoted to advocacy, learning, and most importantly: FUN! New year, new you? What better way to start than by coming by our interview night Tuesday 1/28 (you only have to come to one), to learn about this awesome organization that works with the community all around the Western Mass area. Boltwood works with schools, group homes, nursing homes, event centers, and many more places to create community connections with some really great people. Message me with any questions! Hello all! We are excited for the new semester! Interviews will begin Tuesday 6-8, September 10 and continue to Wednesday 6-8 , September 11 in Goodell 5th floor lounge and the connecting Bernie Dallas room. You do not need to come both nights for interviews. Formal attire or a resume are not necessary. Just come with your passion for service learning! Although the style will be interviews, we are just looking for enthusiastic students who can commit to a two credit course that includes site visits. If you signed up at the activities fair, keep an eye out for more information. The Boltwood Project is close to the hearts of many! The UMass students, site participants, community partners, and more gain life long memories and friendships through our organization. The purpose of The Boltwood Project is two-fold: to provide additional opportunities for recreation/social-oriented activities and general skill development for people and children with varying abilities. It is truly an amazing program that has had a huge positive impact on many lives.

Once again, we will be participating in the UMass gives fundraiser! The money we raise will be used to further educate over 150 students during our three-weekend seminars and to buy fun supplies and healthy foods we bring to our sites where we reach over 200 participants of all ages. We would really appreciate any donations to support this program and to allow for it to continue being so amazing and impactful!

Donations will be accepted and appreciated at any time, but on April 30th from 1:00-2:00 pm we will be having a power hour where the group with the most UNIQUE donors within that hour will receive an additional $2,000.
