Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a smooth start to the semester.

Our first meeting of the semester is tonight at 7:15PM in Campus Center room 165-169. Pre-med alumni Keenan Mahan and Mike Kalfopoulos will be speaking tonight about their lives post-graduation.

There was a mix up with office hours today, but we will be holding additional office hours tomorrow, November 1st, from 4PM to 5PM in room 406F in the Student Union.

If you were not able to hand in dues at office hours today, don't worry! We will be accepting dues at office hours Wednesday, November 2nd, (12PM to 1PM in room 406F of the Student Union) as well as at the next meeting.

Jessica Capri will be holding a Medical Talk on Optometry and Ophthalmology on Wednesday, November 9th at 7:30 PM in Campus Center room 905-909.

There will also be a KapTalk on preparing for the MCAT on Thursday, November 17th at 6:00 PM in Campus Center room 165-169.

Also, don't forget that dues ($5 per semester) are due by November 1st! You can drop them off to any of the officers during office hours (Mondays 5:30PM-6:30PM and Wednesdays 12PM-1PM in room 406F in the Student Union).

Hey everyone! The Life Sciences Internship and Career Fair is coming up next week. It is a great opportunity if you are interested in securing a summer internship or a potential job post-graduation.

It will be held Tuesday, October 25th, in the Campus Center Auditorium Lounge from 12PM to 4PM. Professional dress is encouraged!

There are LIMITED SPOTS for Pre-Med Society students tomorrow this coming Monday, October 19th at 6 PM in the Suffolk Room in the Campus Center. We'll be having Jennifer Gabbard, a Navy Officer, discuss Navy scholarships for medical/dental students.
Unfortunately, this is the largest room that we could get and it only seats 20. Because of this, we can only allow for a maximum of 14 students from Pre-Med.

ALSO, DO NOT WORRY IF YOU ARE NOT ONE OF THE 14. We will be having more meetings in the future, this is the only "limited spot" meeting that is happening!

What an awesome first meeting with a great turn out we had last Wednesday! Thank you to Mr. Kevin Lombardi for giving valuable pre-medical advice. As he said, "deeply follow your passion, whether it be research or volunteering, and be able to clearly present it in your medical school application." We are very excited for a fantastic school year ahead.
