Earlier today, Lieutenant Brian Viglione participated in a news conference announcing "Operation Wicked Safe", a regional high-visibility traffic enforcement initiative that will begin next week.

The initiative targets dangerous driving behaviors, including speeding, distracted driving, failure to move over, and impaired driving. Other participating agencies include Massachusetts State Police , Rhode Island State Police , New York State Police , Connecticut State Police , and Vermont State Police .

Drivers will see increased patrols on major interstates and cross-border corridors connecting the six jurisdictions.
