ATTENTION ALL GRADUATING VETERANS:
On behalf of the SVRC, we want to take a moment to acknowledge our graduating seniors! We had 34 veteran students reserve graduation stoles, representing all branches of the United States Armed Forces.
On Thursday, May 8th from 9am to noon, many of these graduating seniors will be coming to the SVRC for a Continental Breakfast and to receive their Graduation Stole/UMass Challenge Coin. Please join me in congratulating them as they reach an important academic milestone.
If you are a graduating senior, who has not reserved a graduation stole, we do have some extras available. Please call the Student Veteran Resource Center at 413-545-0939 to reserve a graduation stole asap.

Tomorrow, October 24th, Fox 25 will be on campus broadcasting life from 6 a.m.-10 a.m. This station is the largest morning show in the Boston area. We are looking to have a crowd of students wearing UMass gear to be in the background during the live broadcast from the Goodell Lawn. We am offering free UMass Veteran T-Shirts today as an incentive. Pick them up while they last at Veteran Services, 231 Whitmore. For Veteran dependents, I have a limited supply of Veteran “Services” t-shirts. There will also be free food, giveaways and free t-shirts to the first 200 students at the event.
This would be a great opportunity for our veterans to wear their UMass Veteran Shirts. There is a possibility that veterans will be able to get a shout out on air especially during the first half of the show 6-8a.m. when crowds are apt to be small.
