On September 16th, 2010 the UMMB lost its most legendary director Professor George N Parks. Mr. Parks had served the band for over 3 decades, his unwavering dedication, energy, and support for the band ensured that the program would continue to thrive and grow into what it is today.

George received the Kappa Kappa Psi Distinguished Service to Music Medal in 2008 and was inducted as an Honorary Member for all that he contributed to the field of marching band and the UMMB. His life and legacy remind us of what it truly means to Strive for the highest.

On this day the singing of Twilight Shadows, My Way, and the KKPsi Hymn mean just a little more, and we ask any of you who have met Mr. Parks to join us in celebrating his life and legacy.

Come learn about the values of our chapter, the values of Kappa Kappa Psi as a whole, and why we do what we do!
