Caitlyn Baxter continued her impressive post-season run by capturing the Region 4D Individual Championship today at Wi******er Country Club. A week after shooting a course record 63 in the Sub-Region, Baxter shot a -6 under 66 to win the title by 3 strokes. She advances to the Class 4 state championship on Monday, Oct. 12, in Mineral, VA.

STATE CHAMPS!

We’re celebrating another incredible year for our Forestry Field Day team! For the third time in four years, our students have brought home the Virginia State Fair Forestry Field Day Championship!

2023 — 1st Place
2024 — 2nd Place
2025 — 1st Place
2026 — 1st Place

This year’s results included:

Team — 1st Place
Crosscut Saw — 1st Place: Reggie Kirkland & Landon Mays
Water Accuracy — 2nd Place: Braeden Hicks
Log Roll — 2nd Place: Brantley Martin & Walker Clark
Log Throw — 4th Place: Kamen Phipps
Bow Saw — 6th Place: Jesse Tyree

Our Junior Foresters also represented us well, finishing 6th as a team, with Emily Lewis placing 7th out of 100 individual competitors!

Many of these students have been part of the Forestry program for multiple years, and their dedication, teamwork, and skill continue to pay off. We are incredibly proud of this group!

ACPS has been notified by our phone service provider that they are currently investigating a trunk issue that is impacting incoming phone calls. It has been reported that callers are getting the 'call cannot be completed as dialed' recordings. There is a ticket open for the outage and we are awaiting updates from the provider.
