Student Bridges Art Politics: Particles

Hello Everyone!

This semester we are working to create spaces in which students of color can use artistic expression as a mean of self-care and reflection.

As we continue to be black and brown bodies in the current political climate it is important that we highlight the importance of community and spaces designated for conversations about race, gender, sexuality etc. in the context of different artistic expressions.

What types are art do you all use, or want to use as a form of self care? This could range from having meetings were we create skits and performances, write spoken word, paint, draw etc.

What have you been itching to get your hands on or in? Let us know through a message.

If there is ever a time that you are feeling as though spaces with majority white students are overwhelming, The Student Bridges office (rm 407) is a space to get away from that. Don't hesitate to come by, chat, make some coffee, or just chill with some dope ass people! Stay Safe and don't forget to take care of yourself!
