UMass Digital Media Lab

UMass Digital Media Lab The Digital Media Lab is a multimedia production space located on the third floor of the W.E.B. Du Bois Library.

The Digital Media Lab has specialized production areas including two green screen rooms for recording chroma-key videos, four sound booths for audio recording, and a flexible workspace with rolling desks and chairs to accommodate individual and group work. The lab has 27” iMac workstations, dual-monitor Mac Pros, and dual-monitor PCs with a broad range of software needed to produce audio, video, interactive presentations, 3D animation, and music composition. In the lab, students and faculty are able to check out equipment, take multimedia production workshops, and receive individual instruction as needed. The lab also features a Makerbot Innovation Center with 3D printing and scanning capabilities.
