An internationally recognized Sport Management Program housed in the Isenberg School of Management In 2010 we renamed our program in honor of Mark H.

We are proud of our more than 40 year history as an innovative educator in the sport management industry. We are among only a handful of sport management programs based in a professional business school and our curriculum values theory and experiential industry experience in equal measure. Further, our faculty are internationally recognized for their cutting-edge research and industry experience. We consider ourselves the business school for sports business. Upon graduation, our students join an extended professional family of over 6,000 McCormack alumni. Representing every sector and stratum of the sport management industry, they offer their fellow graduates and current McCormack students unparalleled career networking, industry intelligence, and internship/job placements. McCormack, the founder of IMG, the industry’s leading sport, entertainment, and media agency. We house the Mark H. McCormack archive, a one-of-a-kind repository that chronicles four decades of milestones in the sport management industry. Like our namesake, we have continued to learn much from that ground-breaking past. Be it research or teaching, we are driven and inspired through continuous innovation in the sport industry.

Good Morning and Happy Monday from your #1 Ranked Graduate Program in the World!

The Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management, housed in the Isenberg School of Management, UMass Amherst, has been named the world’s #1 postgraduate sport management program by SportBusiness for the fourth time in the last five years, and sixth time overall. The program has been a fixture in the top three of the postgraduate rankings in recent years.

Before we dive into the first NFL Sunday of a new season, we're looking back at our time in Madrid! In March, McCormack grad students were able to tour the circut while it was under construction. The Gran Premio de Espana is back in Madrid after 45 years, with the final race scheduled to take place this morning. Many thanks to the staff at for their hospitality last spring!
