Preparing our Comets for bright futures! 💚💛

Steele Principal Joe Tellier had a great morning checking in with our Comets at Lorain County JVS! Through hands-on experiences, internships, and skilled trade training, these students are gaining valuable skills and building a strong foundation for life after graduation.

Their work reflects Steele’s goal for every graduate to be enrolled, employed, or enlisted—ready to pursue the future they envision.

We’re proud of our Comets as they explore their interests, develop their talents, and prepare for what comes next! ☄️

Proud to support our military-connected students and families! 💜

At the Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) Northeast Region Conference, Amherst Board of Education Vice President Dr. Amanda Messer accepted the OSBA Certificate of Recognition on behalf of our district in recognition of all four Amherst schools receiving the Purple Star Award from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

This state-sponsored award recognizes schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting students and families connected to our nation’s military. The designation is valid for three years!

Thank you to our staff and school community for helping military-connected families feel welcomed, supported, and valued. 💚💛
