Jeremy Smith, Libby Coyner, and Ed Kirtz of the Robert S. Cox Special Collections and University Archives Research Center were excited to work with journalist Peter Fairley as he researched his latest article for IEEE Spectrum, "This 1976 University Experiment Spun Up the U.S. Wind Industry: A nuclear submarine veteran turned a truck axle into a turbine." SCUA is home to hundreds of unique collections, such as the William E. Heronemus Papers, the Woody Stoddard Papers, and selections from the University Negatives Collection that Fairley used over the course of his research.
