The ACHS Drama Club had an amazing time at their pre-audition workshop with Shakespeare in Delaware Park actors Gretchen and Brendan Didio. The group played theater games, talked about Shakespearean text, and even got the opportunity to practice their monologues ahead of next week’s auditions. Welcome Aboard Class of 2030! Earlier this week we held our annual Freshman Orientation Adventure. Adjusting for less-than-ideal weather for activity outdoors, students had a full morning of "ACHS 101," including a schedule and locker scavenger hunt, Tiger Tech Tips for freshman, and a team-building session topped off with our 4-way Tug-O-War tradition. Big thanks to our Pathfinders and teacher-leaders who made this a smooth, informative, and highly engaging day for our incoming Tigers!

Fall sailing opportunity FYI from one Tiger to another: Rising sophomore, Ben Johnson, has been sailing for a few years and participated in Fall High School Sailing last year. High School Sailing is coordinated through the Buffalo Yacht Club (BYC) and there are two upcoming opportunities to try sailing out for free starting this last week of August and going into the fall. See the informational flyers from the BYC below. Students from around the WNY area participate each year. Little to no gear is needed. Ben and his mom, Nina, are also resources who can provide additional information and answer questions. Interested families can DM Nina Lukin on FB.

On Wednesday, our Amherst Football coaches and players took part in the Section VI Preseason Meeting at Highmark Stadium. Players Camden Brown, Maddox Nedescu, Quinn Resendes, and Gabriel Lucien were able to tour the brand new Highmark Stadium before their season officially kicks off next week. Looking forward to seeing all of the off season work pay off soon!

SALARY: $18.92/HR. + SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL IF APPLICABLE
