Last Sunday, May 19th, Iota Eta Eta Inc. of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. celebrated our 2nd annual Scholarship Awards Dinner and babyyyyy did we have a timeeeee🕺🥳💃🏾

We had the honor to shed a light on excellence while honoring academic achievements 💚🥂We were honored to award scholarships to assist 2 students through nursing school 🏥📚🩺

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and empower the next generation of leaders as well as all of our vendors, sponsors, and those who donated! Again, we are so proud of our recipients and grateful for the support of our community 💚💛

In honor of Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Month we would like to highlight one of our own 💜

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disorder that affects the bones 🦴🔥😩 (usually the small bones in the hands and feet). Living with RA can be a roller coaster as the signs and symptoms varies person to person. Women are 3x more likely to be affected by RA and symptoms can start at any age.

Having chronic pain is exhausting 🥀 and pain fluctuates 🎢 so be patient and be kind!

Lupus is a global health problem that affects people of all nationalities, races, ethnicities, genders and
ages. Lupus can affect any part of the body in any way at any time, often with unpredictable and life-
changing results.
Important Facts to Know about Lupus:
• Lupus is a serious and potentially life-threatening autoimmune disease.
• Lupus can damage any organ or tissue from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
• Lupus develops in response to factors both inside and outside of the body; however, the exact cause of lupus is not known.
• Symptoms of lupus come and go, change over time, making lupus challenging to diagnose.
Common symptoms include joint pain, skin rashes, overwhelming fatigue, and fevers that last for days or weeks.
• Lupus is not contagious. You cannot ‘catch’ lupus from someone else.
• While there is no cure for lupus, in most cases lupus can be managed successfully through early diagnosis and expert medical care.

We’re taking steps at the ultimate walk to end pancreatic cancer, PanCAN PurpleStride, on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

PurpleStride participants raise money to fund vital research that can bring new treatment options to patients; free, personalized, one-to-one support through PanCAN Patient Services; and more.
