Our fourth graders stepped into the quiet, watchful world of owls. Through research, writing, and presentations, they discovered how these remarkable birds are perfectly designed for night life, silent flight, and keen observation.

As each child stood before their classmates to share their findings, you could feel both courage and curiosity growing. Learning comes alive when students become teachers for one another.

Why Global Perspectives Matter for the Waldorf Child ❤️🌍

In Waldorf education, we strive to raise "citizens of the world." When a teacher like Ms. Wanda shares her journey through Sri Lanka, it’s more than just a travel log—it’s a living lesson in multiculturalism.

By witnessing their teacher engage with new cultures, languages, and environments, our students:

Develop Empathy: Seeing the common threads of humanity across different borders.

Ignite Curiosity: Moving beyond textbooks to see real-world geography and history in action.

Build Resilience: Learning that education and community remain constant, even when the backdrop changes.

Waldorf education is about teaching the "whole child" to relate to the "whole world."

Teaching from the Teardrop of India! 🌏🐘

We often say TRCVS is available anywhere—and Ms. Wanda just proved it! For the past three weeks, she has been touring the stunning landscapes of Sri Lanka while continuing to lead her virtual classroom.

From ancient temples to lush tea plantations, Ms. Wanda has been bringing a piece of the world back to her students. At TRCVS, we don’t just teach about the world; we live in it.
Stay tuned as we share how this global adventure enriches the Waldorf experience for our children! ✨

Meet Henry, a TRCCS alumus and a current student at UW-Madison! Henry is building community, being creative and enjoying the beauty of nature, all values of a Waldorf education!

Henry has loved building structures with sand, sticks and snow since his Waldorf elementary school days at TRCCS. Well, I think he has outdone himself with this amazing igloo…. 22 hours out on Lake Mendota, and he was able to finally light it up tonight! 🧊 🥶❤️ It weighs about 2.5 tons!!

Plus, it has been bringing lots of joy to the many visitors who have ventured out to look at or a take a photo with the igloo!
