The Joan Bice Underwood Tearoom is a restaurant/classroom within Iowa State University’s world-renowned hospitality management program.
The Quantity Food Production and Service Management Experience class (HSPM 380L) operates the facility.

New week, new menu! This week's menu includes a spinach calzone (whole wheat dough) with marinara sauce, side salad, chocolate brownie with cream cheese frosting, and your choice of iced tea or coffee.
Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, so we'll also be selling decorated sugar cookies! Cookies can be pre-ordered and picked up, or purchased during regular service hours. If you'd like to pre-order cookies, please email [email protected] by 5:00pm the night prior to ensure availability.

Starting tomorrow, September 17th, the Tearoom will resume weekly meal service! Hours of service are 11:30am - 12:45pm, Tuesday through Friday.

Welcome back, Iowa State students, faculty, and staff! It’s the first day of classes and the Tearoom staff is hard at work prepping for another busy semester.
The Tearoom will open to the public starting Tuesday, September 17th. Check the Tearoom website for menu postings - several new items have made it onto our menu for fall semester!
At this time, if you’d like to make a reservation, please call the Tearoom at 515-294-3330. OpenTable is currently unavailable for online reservations due to the Tearoom not being open, but will be available again in several weeks.
