Welcome back Iowa State students! I hope everyone's summer was wonderful and you are all beginning to get back into the swing of things with classes. Iowa State's Pre-Law Club has a few exciting things coming up next week and we hope you can have the chance to experience them with us!

Elections will take place at our last meeting this Wednesday, April 8th at 5:30 in Carver 0174. Positions available are President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary if interest allows. If you have any questions regarding these positions or want to run but will be late to the meeting please contact [email protected]. Attendance is necessary for all members whether running for a position or not so we have voters!

Meeting Wednesday, March 25th in Carver 0174! At 5:30 we will have pizza provided by Professor Mike Bootsma of the Accounting department and hear about his law school experience and what he has done with his law degree as well as hear from the first student to attend Drake Law School as part of Iowa State's 3+3 program! Remember to send an email to [email protected] if you are not signed up for the club emails and would like to receive them as well as if you are interested in running for an officer position!

Our next meeting is this Wednesday!! Like normal 5:30 in Carver 0174 and our visitor is providing the pizza and beverages for us! Stephanie Nikolay from Marquette University Law School will be attending and providing information about Marquette's law school as well as the admissions process in general!

Consider taking “Introduction to U.S. Law” at Drake University
Law School. This is an undergraduate course offered to
sophomores, juniors, and seniors.

You will:
* Be introduced to the basic institutions of American Law
* Be provided with tools needed for success in law school

Join us for an informational session:
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11 at 5 p.m.
Cartwright Hall, Kern Commons (second floor)
Pizza and pop will be served.

Meeting this Wednesday, February 25 at 5:30 in Carver 0174. Jake Feuerhelm, a Criminal Defense attorney out of Des Moines with his own firm will be speaking about what his daily activities look like and how he got to be where he is. There will be cookies provided, make sure to bring any questions about being a practicing trial attorney that you may have!
