Jessica exemplifies wisdom, insight, and creativity in her instructional practice. Her dedication to helping students learn and grow has left a lasting impact both in and out of the classroom.

Anna's compassion, positivity, and commitment to building meaningful relationships make our school a welcoming place for all. She truly embodies the spirit that brings our school community together.

Emma's willingness to support others, foster connections, and work alongside colleagues strengthens our entire school community. Her collaborative spirit helps everyone succeed.

🎨 Raku Trip at CASA Studios | Spring 2026

Ames High ceramics students had a great time at CASA Studios this spring exploring the art of Raku! From firing pottery outdoors to creating handmade whistles and meeting local artists, students had the chance to try new techniques, learn more about ceramics, and enjoy a day full of creativity and fun. 🧡

As the school year comes to a close this week, we’re recognizing some incredible student creativity and dedication. 🎨

Over the past few months, Summer Harvey has taken on a large-scale painting project for the library as an additional opportunity through Advanced Drawing, Painting, and Printmaking. The finished piece is a reflection of countless hours of work, creativity, and artistic growth.

We’re proud to see students using their talents to leave a lasting impact on our school community. Great work, Summer!

The last day of school is Friday, May 29! 🎉 Students will be dismissed early at the following times:

Ames Middle School – 1:45 pm

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we honor and remember.

Today, the Ames Community School District pays tribute to the brave service members who gave their lives in defense of our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication will never be forgotten. May we take this day to reflect, remember, and express our heartfelt gratitude.

We honor and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Schools and the district office will reopen on Tuesday, May 26, and classes will resume for students.
