A hearty congratulations to Evan Gossling, who has received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (GRF) https://www.nsfgrfp.org/. He's an PhD student in ECpE, conducting his Ph.D. research in the lab of Professor Hongwei Zhang. GRF helps ensure the future of the engineering work force and broadens STEM participation among students. Congrats to Evan! 👏 👏

Today at 6 pm the Sales Engineering Club will host Siemens in SICTR 3240! Come out and learn more about careers in sales engineering.

The Sales Engineering Club is a club where companies come to talk about careers and topics in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, Technical Marketing, and more. Sales Engineering focuses on using a technical background to sell technical solutions.

Many of the companies at these clubs have given students internships, and there is always food at every meeting. Check it out this evening!

Spirits in the Garden is an annual Halloween tradition at Reiman Gardens in Ames. The event boasts over 1,600 individually carved pumpkins, all different patterns and themes. in ECpE through a Senior Design project developed an app to track the each pumpkin throughout each stage of the process. “I’ve always had a goal of every Iowan understanding basic cybersecurity. But there’s only one of me and 3 million of them,” said Doug Jacobson. Soon there will be many more cyber guardians like Jacobson in Iowa as a legion of trained volunteers help their communities learn cybersecurity.
