Last week Iowa 4-H hosted the training for the very first group of 4-H Rising Star Internship Program Interns! This group will be delivering STEM and Agriculture day camps all summer long in Adair County, Dubuque County, Jackson County, Jefferson County and Jones County. This is an effort to expand the capacity of local 4-H Programs and reach more youth so that they can become Beyond Ready! Thank you to partners and donors including Corteva Agriscience and Alliant Energy for providing support to make these internships and the programs they will deliver, possible!

Fourteen 4‑H clubs across Iowa have been awarded Pioneer Seed Grants to power new community service projects. Another 20 clubs received America250 Tree Planting Initiative grants to help grow a greener future.

These young leaders are identifying local needs and taking action to make their communities stronger. Proud of the impact they’re creating across the state!

Investing in the future of our communities is something we’re proud to support each year through our partnership with.

This year, we awarded ten $1,500 scholarships to outstanding Iowa 4-H Foundation students and contributed an additional $10,000 to the Iowa Grants Fund, helping support local chapters and future opportunities across the state.

We recently had the opportunity to attend the scholarship recognition ceremony and celebrate these students and their achievements. Congratulations to all of this year’s recipients — we’re excited to see what’s ahead for you! 🍀💚

We celebrated what’s next for this year’s 4-H Scholarship recipients at the recent scholarship reception. This outstanding group will be attending colleges and universities across the state of Iowa, studying computer science, engineering, agriculture, visual arts and more! We are proud of all that they have accomplished throughout their time in 4-H and look forward to the impact they will have on their communities!
