Last week, five Iowa State students participated in the Model Arab League competition hosted at Indiana University’s School of Global Affairs, where the team earned two council awards. 👏

Representing Egypt, the team’s Political Affairs Council received the Distinguished Delegation Award, with the Palestinian Affairs Council earning the same honor.

WLC is hosting a Language Educator Panel on Tuesday, February 24th at 5:00 PM in 2015 Pearson Hall! This panel highlights the experiences of ISU alum who teach in world languages (French and Spanish) or who teach in ELL classrooms. The panelists work in varied districts in Central Iowa and will speak about how their coursework and experiential learning opportunities while at Iowa State prepared them for their careers in education. They will also comment on career prospects in ELL and language education for current undergraduates and offer honest reflections on their experiences in the education sector.
