STEM Teacher Awardee Spotlight
Our 2026 NC STEM Teacher Awardee, Anna Brooks, has been keeping learners hooked through a unit centered around fishing. The unit has focused on outdoor natural resource activities and environmental learning. After learning about wildlife ethics, DNR regulations, and identifications, students build their own fishing poles while learning about aquatic ecosystems, water quality, conservation practices, and responsible outdoor recreation.

If you know of an educator who is taking STEM education to the next level consider nominating them!
