ISU Berlin Study Abroad Alumni Page

Share

A page for all of the alumni of the LAS Global Seminar to Berlin. This is a place for us to keep in touch, share news, updates, & photos.

The city is the classroom (no, really.) Discover the history of a city in which some of the most important events of the twentieth century occurred and learn about this fascinating history in a very experiential way. Use your German to live, thrive, & learn. Get a first taste of studying abroad and live in an apartment like a real Berliner

Connect to other educational or work or travel opportunities for the rest of the summer. Take two long weekends to explore Europe.

Hey Berliners, would any of you want to help us out at the study abroad fair next Thu (10:30-1:30) in the MU?? We'll have a Berlin table and will tell students about the program and answer their questions. If you have 30 minutes between classes and want to stop by our table to help promote the Berlin program, we'd be extremely grateful! Thanks!!

Hey Berliners, I'm working on a research project on diversity in study abroad. As a past participant, if you'd be willing to be interviewed and offer some of your thoughts on issues related to diversity in going abroad (I know this is a big topic, I will have more concrete questions!), please let me know!

Hey Berliners, we're setting up a table at the Study Abroad Fair in the MU tomorrow (fair goes from 9-1:30pm). I know this is last minute but would anyone be willing to stop by and talk to students about Berlin with us? We'd love to have some of you speak about the program! If you think you could come, DM me or send me an email (rmlooft@iastate).

Relatedly, if you have friends interested in the program, we have one final info night coming up on Feb 2nd at 7pm in 3157 Pearson. Let them know!

Hi everyone! This page was created to help us all keep in touch after the program ends. Alumni of the program (across all the years) can share stories, travel tips, photos, and interesting articles on here.

Mark and I would love to keep in touch with you and will also use this page to post news, invite you to Berlin-related campus events, seek out TA's for future summers, and possibly coordinate a reunion trip down the road!
