Competition may not have ended the way we hoped, but we’re incredibly proud of what this team accomplished this season.
As our first-ever EV team, we took on a complete vehicle redesign, including a full monocoque chassis and major changes across nearly every subsystem. Along the way, we faced challenges that tested our team at every step. One of the biggest came when our chassis failed to cure, forcing us to rebuild it in just three weeks. Through hard work, determination, and countless hours in the shop, we overcame that setback and many others to make it to competition.
While we ultimately fell short of passing EV Active Tech, competition gave us valuable feedback on our vehicle and validated many of the engineering decisions behind CR-30. Despite the challenges, our team finished 45th overall, earned a top 20 Design finish, and was honored with the 3rd Place Cummins Sustainability Award. We also made valuable connections throughout the competition that will help shape the development of CR-31.
The knowledge gained this season has already sparked new ideas and improvements for next year. This season was about more than results; it was about building the foundation for the future of our EV program. We learned an incredible amount, developed a strong platform to build from, and proved what this team is capable of accomplishing together.
Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the season, especially our sponsors, alumni, friends, family, and supporters. Your contributions made this project possible.
The road to CR-31 starts now.

Meet the team for CR-30: Directors!
Our directors handle all of the team’s logistics, from purchasing parts to creating the timeline that keeps our season on track. This year, they helped the team navigate several setbacks while continuing to push toward competition. Thanks to their efforts, we also achieved a record year for sponsorships!
Both of our directors will be returning to their roles next season, and we’re excited to see what they accomplish in their final year with the team.

Meet the team for CR-30: Suspension
Our suspension subsystem had a big year with the additional tasks required of them for the business presentation and cost scenario. They are currently preparing for next season and expanding the use of simulations in their work.

Meet the team for CR-30: Powertrain
Our Powertrain subsystem took on one of the biggest challenges in team history this year in developing and running our first-ever EV system. After years of groundwork and development, they successfully brought the team’s first electric drivetrain to life.
We’re excited to see them continue refining the system and building a strong foundation for CR-30 and the years ahead.

Meet the team for CR-30: Final Drive
Our Final Drive subsystem has done a great job integrating the differential system into our EV car for this year. They made several in-house parts this year and helped out other subsystems where they could!
