Super excited to have relocated inside of on Main Street in Ames. After 4 1/2 great years at Ames Fitness Center, ACC will continue on with Ames' true hometown & locally owned bike shop. All the same ACC fit, coaching, and custom build services, supercharged by the partnership with SRC. Looking forward to serving the cycling community in this historic location.

Ames Cycling Center (ACC) specializes in bike fitting, sizing, indoor training, and coaching for all levels of cycling athletes. ACC is strategically located inside the massive Ames Fitness Center in south Ames to allow our community to have access to an array of state of the art tools to help them meet all aspects of their cycling goals.

The Ames Cycling Center is one of only two facilities in the United States that features the full BikeFitting.com suite of technology, including the Position Simulator with 3D pedaling analyzer. The stand alone Position Simulator, or “fitting bike,” allows us to efficiently try out a variety of positions in concert with a 3D camera system, while the pedal analyzer provides real-time feedback and metrics with regard to your pedal stroke.

This technology, along with your feedback, allows us to address any special imbalances that require additional expertise. Once we come to a decision on your optimal position, we apply the changes to your bike using laser measuring tools. The result is a fully customized your position.that will maximize your functionality and comfort on the bike.

ACC does do adjustments to bikes outside of the fit system based on having a quick interview to determine if we can make it worth your time and get the results you are looking to gain.

The sizing step of the process begins with a physical evaluation and detailed measurement of your body. That information is then processed in our software system to help determine a baseline setup any specific frame, geometry, and riding style. You will receive that data in a report that you can take to your bicycle dealer to purchase a new bike, or we can apply it to your existing one.

ACC is a bicycle dealer for Ridley, Eddy Merckx and Bombtrack, but we are not a traditional bike shop. Our primary goal is to work on the aspects of your relationship with the bike and training, but we know sometimes people need help with purchasing, so we’ve developed these relationships for when they are needed. We encourage you to visit your local/go-to shop to purchase & service your bikes, and can help you determine the correct frame size from any number of bike brands and models from our database, prior to your next purchase (for example a Cannondale at Skunk River Cycles, or a Trek at Bike World of Ames). Our top priority if how you feel on your bike and assist you in achieving your bicycle related objectives.
