We are excited to announce the position posting for the next assistant director of The Center!!

We plan to move through the search process quickly so that a new team member can join us by the start of the fall semester.

Our Assistant Director, Cheltzie, is departing on her next adventure! Join us to celebrate next Tuesday, June 21st from 2:00-3:30pm in The (new) Center - 4600 Memorial Union. There will be a brief program at 2:30pm and light refreshments provided. All are welcome!

Today we welcome our first candidate for the Director, Center for LGBTQIA+ Student Success position to campus! There are a couple of opportunities for ISU community members to join us today to participate in the process. Hope to see you there!

It's Lav Grad week, y'all!
Due to a record-breaking number of graduates this year, we'll be opening the doors for Lavender Graduation at 2:30pm on Thursday. Our program begins at 3:00pm sharp. Please arrive early to check-in and find a seat in preparation for the brightest, pride-filled ceremony at ISU!

We're on the hunt for photographers to support us at Lavender Graduation/

This is a volunteer opportunity for students (or staff/faculty!) looking to support LGBTQIA+ graduates AND build their portfolio! We need support from 2:30-5:30pm on May 12th, and are looking for folks who will be able to capture the community-center and celebratory atmosphere of our event.

We couldn't end the year without a few more community events! Here's a few things we've got going on the next 6 weeks.

🎨 Our final Workspace Pop-Up Craft is on April 12th! This is free for participants, and a low stakes way to meet some new friends. Stop on by!

🌈 LGBTQIA+ students, staff, and faculty are invited to join us for a joy-filled and celebratory end-of-the-year Pride Picnic on April 13th! Visit https://center.dso.iastate.edu/events to sign-up!

🎓 2022 graduates can register now to participate in Lavender Graduation on May 12th! This is for anyone who is graduating in May, August, or December 2022, and all graduates will also receive a lavender stole AND the opportunity to participate in a Graduation Photoshoot at the end of April. tinyurl.com/ISULavGrad to register!

Listen - we know it's spring break, but this opportunity is worth the effort! Awards from these scholarships are typically between $1000-$2500 each.
