Founders Day at AGR Eta Chapter is a special opportunity to celebrate the legacy that built our brotherhood. We are incredibly grateful for the alumni who returned to the house and continue to support the values and traditions that make our chapter what it is today.

This year we were proud to award several Legacy Fund Scholarships, recognizing the lasting impact of those who came before us and the bright future of our chapter. Hearing the stories, experiences, and lessons from past members of the house reminds us that the strength of AGR lies in the generations of brothers who continue to invest in it.

Thank you to our alumni for your continued leadership, support, and commitment to Eta Chapter.

Huge week for AGR!

On Monday, we had the privilege of hosting an Athletes Dinner with our Greek Week pairings, Alpha Omicron Pi, Lambda Chi Alpha, Theta Xi, and Sigma Chi. We welcomed two incredible athletes, Katie Ball and Jessica Brown, from Special Olympics Iowa. It was an honor to share a meal, hear their stories, and celebrate what Greek Week is really about: unity, leadership, and something bigger than ourselves.

Wednesday we kept the momentum rolling with in a Kahoot showdown. We made many new connections, and officially kicked off the road to Iowa State Greek Week.

Happy Birthday to the backbone of our house, Chef Heather! Chef’s work goes far beyond the kitchen, as she keeps us fueled and our house feeling like home.

What made you want to become a chef: I’ve always been in the food industry and enjoyed making food for people so I decided to go to school for it.

We’re grateful for everything she does and the positive impact she has on the brothers here at 201 Gray!

This past weekend, our Executive Team traveled to Kansas City for Alpha Gamma Rho’s Top Leaders Institute.

We spent the weekend building leadership skills, exchanging ideas with brothers from across the country, and learning new ways to strengthen our chapter. Experiences like this help shape the future of ETA and push us to lead with purpose.

We’re especially proud to celebrate our Chapter Advisor and ETA alumnus Justin Van Wert for receiving the Grand President’s Award. This honor recognizes AGR members age 40 or younger who demonstrate exceptional leadership, professional success, and contributions to agriculture, community, and the Fraternity. Seeing one of our own recognized was truly inspiring.

A great weekend of learning, networking, and brotherhood.

Academic excellence remains a core value of Alpha Gamma Rho at Iowa State. This Fall 2025 semester, we are proud to recognize 44 brothers who earned a spot on the Dean’s List, including 5 who achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA. These accomplishments reflect the discipline, commitment, and support within our brotherhood. Well done, gentlemen.

Honoring all who have served and continue to serve our country this Veterans Day.
A special shoutout to our brother Sam Cook, currently serving overseas with the National Guard. We are proud of him and can’t wait to have him home.

“Talk to me Goose… where are the wings at?”
This Thursday we are bringing the heat alongside with Wings on Rho! Come out May 1st from 5-8 PM at 201 Gray Ave for some wings, a good time, and a great cause. Tickets are only $5 for this event that you don’t want to miss.

🔥 They came. They saw. They smoked the competition. 🔥

This weekend, our BBQ team went down to Liberty, Kentucky for the National AGR BBQ Contest, and they crushed it. After a lot of hard work, teamwork, and time by the smoker, they brought home 1st place in Chicken, Pork Butt, and Ribs. Congrats to the brothers who were apart of the team!

What a week! Huge shoutout to Delta Zeta for being such an amazing pairing for Greek Week. From hyping each other up at every event to just hanging out and having fun, it was nothing but great vibes all around.

Our theme "The Greek Adventure: Moana" made it even better — from the outfits to the spirit, we were out there sailing beyond the reef and making memories that’ll stick like sand after a beach day. 🌊🌺

Whether it was tug, the games, or late-night laughs, this week reminded us what Greek life is all about — teamwork, spirit, and unforgettable memories.

Thanks again to DZ for being awesome partners — y’all brought the energy all week long. Already looking forward to the next one!
