Meet the 2026-2027 Poultry Interest Group President, Payton Taylor! She is a first year student at Iowa State, excited to get more involved in Block and Bridle through the Poultry Interest Group this year!

We’re excited to tour Versova’s lab next week!

This past weekend we had the opportunity to provide some practice at Iowa State University Poultry Farm for the Muscatine FFA in poultry judging. We also gave out some goodie bags including items from Versova and Iowa Turkey Federation! We wish them the best of luck at nationals!

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of touring McMurray Hatchery in Webster City, IA. We got to see the process of a successful hatchery that has had customers like Martha Stewart and Loretta Lynn. We are so thankful to Murray McMurray Hatchery for hosting our group!

We had a great first meeting last month! Dr. Yuko Sato shared her background and insights about being a poultry extension veterinarian!
