On Saturday, our first year MVP students attended their First Year Retreat. Thank you to our MVP Peer Leaders and MLOs who joined us and facilitated and participated in sessions for our students - We appreciate you!

Come to the Dance Party at the Movie Room in Wallace & Wilson's Commons. Come through the Commons door (facing Storms Dining Center).

Our first-year scholars participated in various workshops focused on on learning about their strengths and talents, campus resources, networking, and community building.

We spent our afternoon and evening at Reiman Gardens assisting with preparations for their annual Halloween event, Spirits in the Gardens. Our guide also shared information about the facility and its current art exhibit, "Washed Ashore".

January is National Mentoring Month!

Created in 2002 by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, National Mentoring Month focuses national attention on the need for mentors, as well as how each of us—individuals, businesses, government agencies, schools, faith communities and nonprofits—can work together to increase the number of mentors to assure positive outcomes for our young people.

We will be posting in the upcoming days to celebrate and recognize some really awesome people who impact the lives of our Iowa State students. Share your mentoring stories and why you choose to MENTOR by using the hashtags , and .

Hey MVP scholars! Welcome back to campus :) Stop over by the MSA office today at 11:30 a.m. to get some food. We have sandwiches, chips, brownies, and more!

The MVP first-year scholars and peer leaders had fun decorating pumpkins on Halloween. We ended the night at Morrill Hall at the Haunted ISU storytelling session where we learned about various paranormal experiences on campus.
