As the school year winds down, third and fourth-grade artists at Edwards are ending the year strong with some incredible pencil shading work! ✏️🎨

Through this project, students explored the element of value by creating shading grids that transition from light to dark. Along the way, they practiced patience, precision, organization, and craftsmanship while learning how artists use light and shadow to create contrast, depth, and dimension.

It’s been amazing to see the growth, creativity, and focus our young artists have shown this year. What a wonderful way to wrap up another school year of learning and creativity!
