What a packed week it’s been for the Ames High School Band! 🎶
On Saturday, January 10, we were proud to have 8 Ames High Band students participate in the SCIBA Honor Band held at Ankeny High School. Congratulations to these outstanding musicians:
• Rhea Rudrapatna – flute
• Sophie Song – flute
• Eleanore Castellano – oboe
• Tate Tepstra – alto saxophone
• Anna DeBoest – trumpet
• Dominique Whaley – trumpet
• Lucas Dressler – trombone
• Michaela West – percussion
The excitement continued Tuesday night as AHS Jazz 1 took the stage at Noce Jazz Club in downtown Des Moines, performing alongside the Des Moines Big Band—an unforgettable experience for our students!
We wrap up the week tomorrow with AHS Jazz 1 at the Triton Jazz Festival. If you missed Tuesday’s performance, you can still catch them in Fort Dodge, performing at 9:30 AM at the Iowa Central College Auditorium.
