New Reward System!
The executive board has decided to implement a new point system for those who show up to general meetings for this year. If you show up and participate at monthly meetings, you will earn a point towards earning rewards distributed towards the end of the year.
We plan on handing out $60 Amazon gift cards, and I am currently in dialogue with a few companies who want to hand out modest scholarships to our general population.
If you showed up to our September meeting, you have already accumulated one point!
Now, I, personally, am looking for creative genius among our general population. I am looking for Big Ideas for events that we can host towards the end of the year (late November – early December). I am looking for something that can trademark ALD/PES as a major organization on campus.
The only condition is that it has to serve the community in some way. Otherwise, don’t worry about feasibility, reasonableness, or expense – if it’s a good idea, we’ll find a way or we’ll make the way.

ALD/PES Freshman Honor Society: We're Geeks not Greeks!
The Iowa State Chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma is an honor society for students who received a 3.5 or higher in either of their first two semesters at Iowa State. The group hopes to help continue the academic achievements of its members and benefit Iowa State University, as well as the Ames community.

Thank you to the generous Ames community for donating these food items for S.H.O.P., which is a food pantry on campus that helps feed Iowa State students!
