Biological Science Information Specialist You will serve as a Data Engineer/Informaticist with the Center for Informatics to develop and enhance data processes and analytics supporting the surveillance of and response to significant national animal health issues.

NIAMRRE is hiring! We've added several research projects to our funding portfolio in the last six months. We're looking for a research and operations administrator that enjoys working with diverse teams. This position will take on primary project and budget management for the Institute.

NIAMRRE is located in the Iowa State University Research Park in Ames, Iowa, and offers a friendly, flexible, and fast-paced working environment. This position is onsite with the possibility of a hybrid arrangement.

RELEASE: NIAMRRE Announces Inaugural Cohort for One Health Interprofessional AMR Education Workshop

AMES, IOWA (May 4, 2022)--The National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE) is pleased to announce the selection of the initial cohort for its One Health Interprofessional Antimicrobial Resistance Education workshop. The cohort of 33 individuals, representing all One Health disciplines (human, animal, plant, and environmental health), is a diverse mix of practitioners, consultants, staff, faculty, and students from across the United States.

Our May Member Spotlight will feature Joel Harris, CEO and Founder at Genvax. We are pleased to announce that we are seeking to add a key team member to our Operations Center team!

The Education and Training Coordinator will take lead on NIAMRRE's current education efforts, including two existing grants with educational objectives that require the implementation of a learning management system and developing educational modules. In addition, this position will play a key role in working with our members and stakeholders to identify and execute educational programming needs for our many stakeholder audiences. A background in AMR is not required, but understanding of biological sciences and the skill to digest technical information and communicate that to a variety of knowledge levels will be key to success in this position.
