How to make butter cake:
Ingredients:
7 oz of all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
7 oz sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons plain yogurt
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 375*F
2. Grease a 9x9 pan using butter.
3. Mix the flour and the baking powder together and sieve. Add in the salt and mix well. Set that aside.
4. Use an electric mixer to beat the butter and sugar until it is well combined.
5. Add in the first egg. Beat well until creamy. Continue adding eggs every couple of minutes while mixing.
6. Add in the vanilla extract and mix well. Fold in the flour and mix. Then add in the plain yogurt.
7. Pour the batter into the greased baking pan. Make sure it is evenly distributed. Bake it for about 40-50 minutes or until it is golden brown. To prevent the top from over browning, cover the baking pan with aluminum foil once the top of the cake is set.
8. Remove from oven once cooked, and let it cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Cut in into pieces and serve warm.

Named after Louis Pasteur, a French scientist, pasteurization was developed in the 19th century. Pasteurization is the heating of a liquid, such as milk, to a specific temperature for a certain period of time to kill harmful bacteria and pathogens.
All milk purchased in Iowa grocery stores must be pasteurized to kill any potentially harmful bacteria, such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria, while preserving the taste and nutritional quality of the milk. Often on farms, whole milk that is fed to calves is also pasteurized to make sure the calves stay healthy!
There are two types of pasteurization used for commercial milk, with the more common one being High-Temperature Short-Time pasteurization. Milk is quickly heated to 161 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 15 seconds, and then rapidly cooled. The less common method is Ultra-High Temperature pasteurization where milk is heated to around 280 degree Fahrenheit for a few seconds. This process sterilizes milk, extending its shelf life and allowing it to be stored at room temperature until opened.
