Phi Kappa Psi is one of the largest fraternities at Iowa State. Learn more today! The Iowa Beta chapter of Phi Kappa Psi was founded in 1913.
For several decades, the chapter thrived and enjoyed full membership and good times. Over 1300 men were initiated into our chapter, more than 900 of whom are still living. Unfortunately, a period of low membership and weak leadership in the 1990s resulted in the chapter surrendering its charter in 1999. This past week, the brothers had a blast competing alongside our wonderful pairing in Greek Week, placing 2nd overall! We are proud of our efforts across the board, especially raising over $30,000 as a team for Special Olympics Iowa, and grateful for the memories we’ve made.

We’re proud to announce that Phi Kappa Psi Iowa Beta has been awarded the 2025 President’s Cup, an award given to the #1 overall SFE chapter at Iowa State!
This marks the first time our chapter has earned this honor, a testament to the dedication, leadership, and brotherhood that defines us. From academics to service to community, this win reflects the standard we strive to uphold every day.
Also, congratulations to Brother Carson Ekis for receiving the 2025 IFC President of the Year Award, and Brother Thomas Roth for receiving the Director’s Award.
