Happy State Fair, everyone! 🌽🎡🍪 Excited for another year of sponsoring a few food contests at the Iowa State Fair!
Each year, we sponsor the Best in Dough contest, judged by Chef Andy and Chef Patrick from The Recipe in Downtown Ames. And the best part? The winner takes home an Ankarsrum mixer, donated by Cooks’ Emporium!
We also get a little display space at the Fair to showcase the beautiful Ankarsrum, this is my personal beauty from home! Hope I don’t get a baking itch the next few days!
There aren’t a ton of Ames food sponsors at the State Fair, so we’re especially proud to represent our downtown businesses and our community! ❤️

Our Chefs started testing a new Meal Planning + Prep experience designed to make the week a little easier.
This is our trial run with our Team, with the hope of offering these meal-prep to-go options a couple of times each month.
Between busy schedules, rising grocery costs, wanting to eat healthier but still want flavor and the nightly question of “What are we having for dinner?”—meal planning can feel like one more thing on an already-full list.
