Meet Paul!

Paul is an 18-month-old Great Pyrenees and Australian Cattle Dog mix.

Paul loves playing with chew toys and warm blankets. He is looking for a family that can take him on long walks and has a canine buddy for him to wrestle with!

The most recent Canine Good Citizen Outreach classes hosted by the ACE program had a fantastic showing of twenty-five total handlers.

These classes are open to the public, and there have been numerous success stories from the recent round of classes.

Introducing ANS 4210X (Diet Formulation for Monogastric Animals)! A new course coming this Fall 2026 semester.

ANS 4210X is a half-semester, 1-credit course. The prerequisite for this course is ANS 3200 (or equivalent) and Senior classification. ANS 4210X will meet on Thursdays from 2:15 to 4:10 PM.

You will learn to upload and manage ingredient profiles in formulation software, formulate monogastric diets, analyze common diet formulation errors, and apply systematic troubleshooting approaches.

Diet Formulation for Monogastric Animals will be taught by Dr. Logan Kilburn, Dr. Dalton Humphrey, Dr. Laura Greiner, and Dr. Elizabeth Bobeck.

Caleb Clay, graduating senior in animal science, is the fall 2025 recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award.

The Ace Project will be offering Canine Good Citizen (basic obedience) and Puppy classes starting on January 28 that will run for 6 consecutive weeks.

Our CGC class will be at 6 PM and Puppy Class (dogs less than 1 year) at 7 PM. Location at the Hansen Center. These will be predominately student led as we have Ace Project students that have become approved CGC evaluators with the American Kennel Club (AKC). The cost is $100 for the 6 week course with funds supporting the Ace Project training program.
