Hello everyone!
We are ready for the 2021 Fall Virtual ClubFest. Our video has been uploaded on Flipgrid successfully with the practice information updated.

We are open for recruiting new members, and we teach Kendo skills from scratch. Hopefully this will be a fresh start to keep Kendo community thriving in Iowa under the prolonged pandemic.

A couple of things to announce for the Fall semester.

We will have our major meetings held on Friday and Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at Forker 198. For those who wish to practice Kendo routinely please pick up at least one of the weekend meetings so that your learning process can be progressive and smooth.

On Monday we also have an extra hour from 9 to 10 pm at Forker 198. We are now more inclined to make it as some kind of the reserved time slot, but I will be there so if you wish to come for some extra practice please come on Monday as well.

The first official meeting will be next Friday Aug/27. Hopefully we can see you all by then.

We are here to announce that our club finally have our year-round practice done successfully amid the pandemic.

Two of the new members of the club who started their Kendo training from last Fall have put on Kendo Bogu and experienced their first tournament yesterday as our last official practice of the Spring semester. They fought bravely and won a couple of points against senior members, which was quite a surprise that we all happy to see. Nothing inspires more than seeing your hard training pay off eventually.

We are looking forward to having a proper summer training scheduled with the director of the sport clubs of ISU. Hopefully all the joint practices and tournaments of Kendo will get back soon in the post-pandemic era.
