🏛️ Accelerated Achievers’ Academy: Andersonville Historic Site Project
Our 5th and 6th grade Accelerated Achievers’ Academy students brought history to life through an engaging Project-Based Learning experience following their visit to the Andersonville National Historic Site!
Students applied their knowledge and personal experiences to create informative brochures, colorful displays, and presentations highlighting the history of Andersonville, the experiences of Civil War prisoners, and the importance of preserving historical landmarks. Through research, creativity, critical thinking, and reflection, students demonstrated their understanding of American history while strengthening their writing, communication, and presentation skills.
This project allowed students to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences while honoring the importance of remembering and learning from our nation's past.
