🌎 And that’s a wrap on Term 2: Around the World!

What an incredible musical journey we’ve had together!

🦁 In Africa, we met a lion and an elephant while learning the difference between *presto* and *lento*.

🏯 In China, we helped repair the Great Wall as we discovered the steady beat.

🐸 In Japan, a friendly frog helped us study quarter notes, eighth notes, and quarter rests.

🦘 And in Australia, we learned an Indigenous song as the sun set over Kangaroo Island.

Thank you to all our wonderful families for joining us on this adventure. We can’t wait to make more music together!

🍎🍕🌽 Join us on June 24 for our summer term, **Food, Glorious Food**, where we’ll explore music through all things delicious! 📍 Rocky Mountain Gardens

What began as a small dream when my daughter was less than a year old, has grown into a thriving community of families connecting through music, movement, laughter, and learning. Every class, every song, every smiling face reminds me why I started this journey in the first place. We’re so grateful for every family who has been part of this journey. THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE!

🌻✨ Imagine this...

It’s Wednesday morning and you and your little one arrive at the for your weekly Family Music & Movement class. You hear a bee buzzing on a nearby poppy. 🐝

Then it’s time for music! 🎶

We sing hello to each child by name 👋, dance with colorful scarves 🌈, harvest food for our table 🥕, visit critters at our picnic 🐞, and end with a gentle goodbye song. 💛

After class, you decide to keep the adventure going with a visit to the . 🦋

The truth is, you’re probably already doing so much of this naturally—following your child’s curiosity, singing songs, and exploring together. 🌱

The curriculum I teach with simply gives you more tools, more songs, and more ways to connect, all backed by research in early childhood development and music learning. 🎵✨

You don’t need to be a musician. You’re already everything your child needs. We’re just here to support you. 💛

Last week, a two year-old asked me if I had a violin. I said “no, but I know someone who plays viola beautifully!” 🎻 Can you hear the beautiful playing of in the video?

This is what happens when you let children lead the music. We followed their curiosity.

🔊 We built a soundscape together involving my talented friend who’s also a mom of two and it was an absolute joy!

🤚She let the kids touch the strings.

🌧️ They heard my rain stick and then heard how the viola could sound like rain too.

👂 We listened to the melody the viola played and guessed which song she was playing.

🐸 We played instruments with her that sound like frogs. We let the story unfold in real-time.

That’s the beauty of child-led music with the curriculum. It’s responsive. It’s collaborative. It honours every voice in the room.

I always wanted to be a mom. When I was little, I really appreciated a pastor at the Presbyterian church where I grew up who always had ALL the women and girls in the congregation stand on Mother’s Day and be recognized for our influence for good. It meant a LOT. I drew from this early experience when I struggled with infertility myself.

I rediscovered this talk yesterday on Mother’s Day. I think it describes a mother’s love so well.💛

Whether you are a mother now, yearning to be a mother, struggling with infertility, or not sure about being a mother, I hope you know how great an impact you have on those around you. Our mothering influences (including aunties, grandma’s, sisters, friends…) will change the world when we understand the impact of using our divine role for good!

Happy Mother’s Day. You are so loved.
