Does Isaiah 4:1 really predict polygamy in the last days?

“Seven women shall take hold of one man…” can be read literally, but the context isn't about righteous marriage covenants. It points to scarcity, judgment, and covenant breakdown. Joseph Smith even moved Isaiah 4:1 to the end of chapter 3 to emphasize this point!

So why seven women, bread, apparel, and reproach? Isaiah may be using covenant and birth imagery to contrast a broken people with the righteous remnant of Zion.

Does Isaiah 3 really teach that women shouldn’t lead—or condemn women for jewelry, makeup and beauty? 

HINT; The problem isn’t powerful women. It’s power that forgets its purpose!

Isaiah’s description of the “haughty daughters of Zion” has often been interpreted as a condemnation of vain or powerful women.

But when Isaiah 3 is read alongside Isaiah 1, Ezekiel, Exodus, and the temple imagery embedded in the chapter, a very different picture emerges.

Is the Harlot a counterfeit of Heavenly Mother

One Divine Feminine figure in Proverbs is Lady Wisdom — calling, teaching, offering life, and present with God before the foundations of the earth.

The other is the “strange” or deceptive woman — enticing, imitating and ultimately leading away from life.

Could this contrast preserve something deeper?

Could Lady Wisdom be an echo of the Divine Feminine — our Heavenly Mother — while the other woman represents a counterfeit of sacred feminine power?

When we only study the warnings about the false feminine but fail to recognize the holy feminine, we may miss one of the most beautiful patterns hidden in scripture.
