🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Maplebrook School! 🇺🇸

This Fourth of July, we celebrate the freedoms that make our country strong and the opportunities they create for every individual to learn, grow, and pursue their own unique path.

At Maplebrook, independence is more than a destination. It is something we help our students build every day through confidence, resilience, meaningful relationships, and the skills they need to live fulfilling lives.

As we celebrate our nation’s birthday, we extend our gratitude to our students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends for being part of the Maplebrook community.

We wish you a joyful, safe, and memorable Independence Day.

Happy Fourth of July!

Belonging. Growth. Independence. Purpose.

Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, guardians, and father figures who support, encourage, and believe in our students every day.

At Maplebrook, we know that growth happens through partnership. Behind every milestone, breakthrough, and success story is often a parent who has advocated tirelessly, celebrated victories both big and small, and never stopped believing in their child’s potential.

Today, we celebrate the fathers and father figures who show up with patience, strength, humor, guidance, and unconditional love. Thank you for the countless ways you help your children build confidence, resilience, and independence.

From all of us at Maplebrook School, we wish you a joyful and well-deserved Father’s Day.

💚 Happy Father’s Day! 💚

There is always a special kind of quiet on the day after graduation.

The chairs have been folded. The programs have been saved. The flowers are beginning to lean. The applause has faded from the room, but somehow it still echoes in our hearts.

Yesterday, we celebrated a class of young people who have done something truly remarkable. They did not simply complete a school year. They climbed. They stretched. They stumbled, got back up, asked for help, learned to trust themselves, and reminded all of us what courage looks like when it is lived one day at a time.

At Maplebrook, graduation is not just an ending. It is a doorway.

For some of our graduates, that doorway leads beyond our campus. They are leaving Maplebrook, taking with them the lessons, friendships, routines, mentors, memories, and confidence they built here. They are stepping into new communities, new responsibilities, new dreams, and new versions of themselves, now as members of the Maplebrook family.

For others, the journey continues with us. They will return to Maplebrook or Ascent to keep building independence, purpose, and momentum. And that is worthy of celebration. Growth does not follow one narrow path. It does not obey one timetable. It does not always arrive with fireworks. Sometimes growth requires more preparation. More support. More time to become ready for the life that is waiting.

And here is the truth: every one of these graduates is already a success story.

Not because the road was easy. Because it wasn’t.

Not because everything came naturally. Because it didn’t.

But because they kept going.

Steve Jobs reminded us that we connect the dots only by looking backward. Yesterday, many of those dots came into focus: the first visit, the hard goodbye, the breakthrough moment, the mentor who stayed close, the friend who made Maplebrook feel like home.

Maya Angelou taught us that people remember how we made them feel. I hope our graduates leave feeling seen, known, challenged, protected, and believed in.

Remember: life will be strange. Plans will change.

Laughter will help. Be kind. Be brave. Be yourself.

To our families: thank you for trusting us with your children. Thank you for your patience, your advocacy, your hope, and your love.

To our graduates: we admire you. We support you. We believe in you.

Whether you are leaving the nest or returning to strengthen your wings, your story is still unfolding.

And what a beautiful story it will be.

Today, celebrate one another, and enjoy this time together.
