A box on a porch is not the same as a knock on the door. 🥣🏠
Our latest blog post explores why the "choice" between local nonprofits and national, out-of-state food suppliers is an artificial one. While commercial vendors offer volume, they cannot offer the daily wellness checks and human connection that keep Montgomery County seniors safe and independent.
True consumer choice should be about selecting the best local care, not settling for subsidized delivery that bypasses preventative health.

Lights, camera, Norristown. 🎬
This weekend we're stepping back in time as scenes from the film "Elmwood Park" are shot inside Norristown Montco SAAC. Our 1950s-era school rooms were transformed into a classic high school classroom, bringing the space right back to its original roots.
We love seeing the history of this building come alive again and are excited to be part of this local project.

Featured Artist at the Ambler Art Center
Bill Ryan
You will learn to view the world differently in Bill Ryan’s Introduction to Contemporary Abstract Painting class. Bill has been interested in art for 50 years and the primary driver for this interest is his experience of aesthetic response. Bill can see something or imagine something that is emotionally moving and finds the need to express it. For all artists, development in art requires practice and more practice. Sometimes the study of color alone could be enough but there is much more. Bill likes to draw and paint, mostly abstract. His classes sell out which is a direct result of his knowledge of his craft and teaching ability. You can register for Bill’s class on our website, www.montcosaac.org.
