Test Drive Wednesday - for new and returning families

What if your teen had the chance to take the wheel of their own education? Most schools hand teens a map, choose the destination, and tell them exactly which roads to take.

At Current Education Center, teens learn how to navigate. They discover their interests and take ownership of their learning—with caring guides alongside them when they need support.

If your family has been wondering whether there's another path, we'd love to invite you to Test Drive Wednesday, our Open House on Wednesday, September 2 from 12:30–5:00 PM.

For new and returning teens (12:30–3:00): meet other teens, experience two (optional) class sessions, hang out, explore the center, and enjoy Rita's.

For parents, families, and the community (3:00–5:00): tour the space, meet our guides, and learn what self-directed education looks like in real life.

In-Person, Secular High School Biology + Lab (2026–2027)
at Current Education Center

We’re trying something new, and we have a few open seats we’d love to offer to families outside of Current.

This is our first year offering a full high school science course. We’re intentionally keeping it small, around 10 students, so it can stay relationship-centered and discussion-driven.

🧬 Thursdays, 9–11am
📍 Ambler (Current Education Center)
👥 Small group (10 students total, limited spots available for non-members)
💲 Tuition: $600 for the year + $50 materials fee + textbook (used copies available for $20–$40)

Led by Jess D’Amico (7 years high school science teaching + nature-based education background), this class includes:
hands-on labs
discussion and inquiry
core high school biology concepts

The course covers core high school biology topics, offered in a small, relationship-centered setting at Current.

Families can choose the level of rigor:
optional grades and tests
flexible assignments for credit needs

30-week experience (September–May), with a mix of in-class work and weekly assignments to deepen understanding.
